Red Dead Redemption 2 rumors proven wrong

After hearing about Red Dead Redemption 2 development over the last week, we wanted to find out more about Doron Feinstein thanks to this person being the name referenced and claimed to be working on RDR2. The best place to always look up a professional is LinkedIn and you can see Feinstein’s employment profile on their LinkedIn page.

Straight away we noticed that Feinstein left Rockstar New England in March, 2014, and at the time had worked as a Senior Graphics Engineer. The current employment status is still a Senior Graphics Engineer, but at this time it’s for TURBO Studios in the Greater Boston Area and has been the case for at least 5 months.

How can Doron Feinstein be working on Red Dead Redemption 2 after moving to another computer games company? The short answer is this rumor’s false, unless the blogs like Motoring Crunch reporting this rumor are getting mixed up with a story from the end of 2013. At that time, Feinstein was working on the “Next Version of a Famous IP“.

The above statement about working on the next IP had been removed many months ago and certainly before they left Rockstar. There’s also the possibility that the next version was GTA V for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Do you think development for Red Dead Redemption 2 has already started? Are you hoping RDR2 will release next year?
