Ready for iOS 6 jailbreak say iOS 5.1.1 hackers

We know there are iPhone and iPad users that are really thankful for the work done by those behind the iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak, and of course there are also a massive group of users that couldn’t care less. The need is most certainly there and while this is the case the hackers will always want to help, and during a recent interview at Hack in the Box 2012 one blogger had the chance to ask directly about future jailbreaks and particularly iOS 6.

You can read the article here, the complete interview with @pod2g is yet to be published, and this article also includes a minor update clarifying the “part of iOS 6” claimed to be ready for jailbreak. In a nutshell it looks like a jailbreak for iOS 6 is not being worked on, but the jailbreak “Dream Team” has a few ideas for exploits they believe could work when the software is released to public at some point this year.

It’s interesting to see a new iOS launch and then those behind jailbreaking take so little time to unlock the software, and while this helps Apple improve security it seems like a constant cat and mouse game. Are you part of the iPhone community that love the work done by jailbreakers? The demand for unlocking iOS devices had been seen recently when Twitter was flooded with users tweeting about an untethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak, which came in the form of Absinthe 2.0.

What features do you want to see in iOS 6, and even the iOS 5.1.2 update if it comes first? We’d love to see better call blocking and Airplay enhanced natively, although we also know many features wanted by iPhone users is exactly the reason some people jailbreak their iOS devices.
