Rayman Legends PC release will bring mods opportunity

Look away Wii U owners as it looks like Ubisoft has just enough time to announce Rayman Legends for one more platform. We know that the game is now headed to PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita after originally being announced as a Wii U exclusive. Now though, we can confirm that Rayman Legends will also be coming to the PC as well.

Even better for PC gamers, is that the Windows version will even be available to buy on the same day as console, which doesn’t happen very often any more with developers often preferring to release PC versions after console work is finished up. This won’t be the case with Rayman Legends though and it could even end up being the best version – thanks to mod support.

You may not be aware, but Rayman Origins also arrived on PC and as a result, was the subject of various mods after some tinkering with the game’s files. Rayman Legends is already looking like an amazing game with the amount of content it will include – add extra mods to that though and things are looking very exciting indeed.

We’ve found one video for you to watch below, which gives you a basic idea of what sort of mods will be available – in this case a few tweaks to Rayman to give him a whole new appearance. We’re guessing the possibilities will be endless and hopefully will result in the more advanced modders creating some brand new worlds for players to explore.

With the news of a PC release coming, are you now having second thoughts as to which version of the game to pick up? The PS Vita version will remains a hot prospect though after the excellent conversion of Rayman Origins.
