We have an interesting article for you to read now, as it has been reported that Raw Milk, although banned in the U.S, could actually be used as part of a healthy diet – according to a few advocates.
As reported from NPR, raw milk is banned becuase the Food and Drug Administration believes that it poses a health threat risk. However, some people think that the risks are worth it – like 29-year old mother Liz Reitzig.
She doesn’t believe that the risks of consuming raw milk are bad enough for her family. Instead, she happily takes 2-year old son Duncan Reitzig to farms in Pennsylvania for it – paying around $5 to $7 a gallon.
However, the FDA hasn’t banned raw milk for no reason. According to NPR, raw milk is thought to contain various harmful bacteria like E. coli and salmonella – two bacteria which can make people very sick in some cases.
What are your thoughts on this? Anything that can be linked to kidney failure is a serious issue in my opinion – should we really be taking such a laid back approach on the dangers of drinking raw milk?
