Land Rover knows that they need to deliver something that is able to compete on an even level with its rivals, and as such are working on the Range Rover Sport RS. The non-RS version has already been improved over its predecessor thanks to an all-new chassis, but a few more tweaks were needed to make this SUV even more special.
Land Rover has decided to share two new videos of its even sportier SUV, and this has made potential customers all the more curious as to the Range Rover Sport RS price. We still have no idea how much this will be, but it’s not going to be cheap, not when you consider the improvements to the exterior, as well as its more powerful engine.
Range Rover Sport RS performance potential — What will give the new model that extra power is its 5.0-liter, V8 supercharged engine that will produce around 542 horsepower, compared to the 510 horsepower from the most powerful current Range Rover Sport. It might not be much, but every little helps as they say.
Other factors will also help increase the cost of the Range Rover Sport RS, such as changes to the suspension to allow it to handle that much better on a track, which you can see in both videos below.
There are also upgrades to the car’s software so that it does not roll as much when being thrown about on a racetrack. Having said that, not sure how many people drive their current Range Rover Sport like that, as they are more at home on the school run.
There is also the fact that the current Range Rover Sport sells very well in New York, so not certain if they will benefit from the RS version.
