Range Rover Sport R vs. Ford F-150 SVT Raptor desired

With the Range Rover Sport R being tested in camo so we cannot make out the new design flares, its seems as though Land Rover has been out and about again, but this time with no camo but just some wacky decals on instead. This gives us the best look yet of the new model, which should be a welcome addition to the family.

Having already explained the Range Rover Sport R will more than likely go head-to-head with the BMW X5M and X6M, it seems a few American’s have a different showdown in mind. There have been some requests to see Top Gear do a special of the Range Rover Sport R vs. Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, but we are not certain this will happen on the UK show, although the US version might.

Most of you will be thinking this is such a silly idea because the Ranger Rover Sport R is an SUV, while the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is a truck. However, they do share a few things in common, one is the fact they are both off-road vehicles, second is they are performance vehicles and thirdly, both have engines that push out more than 550 horsepower.

Okay, that last part we are not certain of yet because we have not had the official Range Rover Sport R specs, but going on what we have seen with the range we expect it will deliver more than 550 horsepower. However, the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor packs 600 horsepower, although this is for the Hennessey VelociRaptor version.

You might think it would be unfair to pit the two together because the VelociRaptor is a modified F-150 SVT Raptor, but then again the Range Rover Sport R has been modified as well, so it could be a pretty fair fight.

If these two vehicles were pitted with each other once the Ranger Rover Sport R is released, which do you think would win?
