Range Rover reveals SVAutobiography, its Rolls-Royce SUV rival

With Bentley revealing its Bentayga vehicle and Rolls-Royce also confirming that it is to get in in on the SUV market, it was obvious that Range Rover was going to come up with something to compete in this even higher-end market.

We have seen several luxury Range Rover models over the years, but its new SVAutobiography will become a flagship model and will demand a price tag of £150,000, which is a sign of just how luxurious this model will be.

If Bentley and Rolls-Royce thought they would be able to come in and take the crown from Range Rover, then surely this SVAutobiography model has given them a wakeup call? You only have to look at the images that you can see on the Jaguar Land Rover press page to see just what we mean.

Range Rover reveals SVAutobiography interior

The Range Rover SVAutobiography is to go on sale from this summer and will cost £148,900, and for that you will get a new bespoke 5.0-litre supercharged V8, which will produce 543 horsepower. There will also be two more engine options, the SDV6 Hybrid and SDV8 versions. You will have the choice of standard or long wheelbase.

Range Rover sets the standard for Rolls-Royce and Bentley SUVs to beat with its £150k SVAutobiography flagship Santorini Black upper body color, with a choice of nine colors on the bottom half of the exterior.

However, it is the interior where we will see the major differences to the standard Range Rover models. There will be a chiller cabinet for your champagne, Mohair carpets, electrically operated picnic tables, Event Seating’ to the rear, and also veneered decking in the boot or trunk. If you would like to see more, then if you are in New York, then head down to the auto show this week, which is where this luxury SUV will be on show.

Well Bentley and Rolls-Royce, the ball is now firmly in your court.
