A few days ago we announced that a Rainbow Six game — entitled Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard — would be making its way to the Apple App Store at some stage. We also provided our readers with a few details, a number of screenshots and a very brief teaser trailer.
However, we now have a bit more good news for those of you that are looking forward to playing the upcoming iPhone game as according to Eli Hodapp over at toucharcade.com, the military-themed first-person shooter has now been given a gameplay trailer and an official release date.
The wait isn’t too long either, as the Gameloft-developed app will be arriving on the App Store on March 17th. Judging by the trailer, which can be viewed below this post, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard appears to fit right in line with all the other Rainbow Six games.
The game features a total of 11 missions, which players will be able to play online with three other players via the co-op mode. The app even features a 10-player multiplayer mode. As we previously mentioned, the game will allow players to control a whole squad of soldiers, rather than just one.
What do you think of the Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard game for the iPhone? As a fan of first-person shooter games, I think I might just give it a go.
