Quasar SQ5505U 55-inch 4K TV review unknown

Every year we come across some brands of TV on offer during the sales which consumers have never heard of before. This could sometimes be a major cause of concern, but at the same time it could also be the best bargain you end up buying for the whole year.

This time we are going to talk about TV manufacturer Quasar, who are actually part of the Panasonic group and now specialise in making budget consumer electronics.

The Quasar SQ5505U 55″ 4K LED Ultra HDTV is something of a mystery, but it’s going to be available from retailer HEB for $299 making it a very exciting mystery none the less.

That makes it one of the cheapest 55-inch 4K TVs we have seen this year, but is it any good? There are currently no Quasar SQ5505U 4K TV reviews to be found online whatsoever, meaning that consumers will have to buy ‘blind’ which obviously isn’t ideal.

We have however located the Quasar SQ5505U specs for you as you can see above. Key features include 4K Ultra HD resolution of 3840 x 2160, a 60Hz refresh rate, 4 HDMI ports, USB port and NTSC/ATSC TV Tuner – the Quasar SQ5505U manual download in PDF format is also located through the link.

To confirm, this TV is not smart supported so there are no built-in apps such as Netflix or YouTube. There are also no premium 4K picture features such as HDR, 4K upscaling or UHD dimming either – but then again, you can’t really expect them for $300.

Are you tempted to buy this Quasar 4K TV but are worried about the lack of information online? Let us know your thoughts on this and if you think it’s too good to turn down for $300.

Anyone have experience with the Quasar brand in the past?
