Quake 3 Released for Android: Unofficial Version Called Kwaak3

If you are a Quake 3 fan who owns an Android handset you may be happy with this news, Thunderbird2K will soon be launching Kwaak3 which is apparently “essentially the same thing”.

The developer had previously seen ports of Quake 3 for the iPhone and N900, however was frustrated that the Motorola Milestone had no equivalent, therefore decided to create his own unofficial version.

Currently Kwaak3 is only really compatible with the Motorola Milestone as Thunderbird2K hasn’t developed the game to support touchscreen controls, therefore Nexus One owners will not be able to play the game.
