PSN is down suddenly Sept 6 with sign-in problems

We are getting reports that PSN is down suddenly, without warning on September 6, 2016. As far as we’re aware there is definitely no scheduled PSN maintenance today and it is the worst time for a PSN outage with a new DLC pack for Black Ops 3 launching.

Millions of gamers have been playing the new Salvation DLC, especially the new zombies map Revelations. However now they can’t as suddenly the PSN sign-in is down in US, UK and other parts of the world.

You can check the PSN status with other PS4 and PS3 users here, but for now Sony’s official status website shows that there are no problems at the time of writing.

Is PSN down with a sign-in error right now? We want to see how widespread this is, so please leave a comment if you can’t play – what game?
