PSN is down Nov 22 with Phantom Squad DDOS threat

We regret to bring you the news that PSN is down suddenly on November 22, 2016 with a surprise outage. There had not been any scheduled PSN maintenance today, so gamers will be wondering why they can’t sign into PSN on PS4 and PS3 tonight in the UK or daytime US.

Even worse, it looks like hacking group Phantom Squad has already confirmed responsibility for PSN being down right now. Obviously it could just be a hoax, but take a look at the threats left minutes ago on Twitter which has resulted in PSN being unavailable at the time of writing.

We know this is the same group that previously targeted EA servers and also Steam. If it is confirmed to be a PSN DDOS attack on November 22, how many times are these people going to get away with it?

We will update you as the situation progresses, but for now let us know if PSN is down in your region and your thoughts if it is a DDOS again.
