There’s a major outage with PSN down in the UK and United States today. It’s unclear at this time why PlayStation Network is not working, but the sign in problems are being reported all over the world. We’ve heard from Product Reviews readers in London UK to New York, USA.
Services stopped working within the last 30 minutes and even the Sony PSN status page is officially still reporting everything is online. This is obviously not true, if not from the reports we’ve received then certainly by the amount of tweets explaining problems all over both the US and UK.

Is PSN down for you today on September 20th, 2014? What location are you in? We’ve reached out to Sony for comment and will post any updates here. If you notice everything back up online, then share a comment. Let us know your location and if you are having issues signing into PSN today.
We’ve tried to sign in on a PS4 in the UK and keep getting network error messages. One work college in New York explains they cannot access PSN on a PS3, so there’s certainly problems within both of these regions today.
Update: It looks like Xbox Live and PSN went down at the same time. Not sure how that can be related, but it was a major outage with both platforms for 30 minutes to an hour.
