This weekend has seen an increase in PS4 sign-in problems with PSN kicking out error code CE-32894-6 and while we reached our to Sony about this issue, we’re yet to get a reply in regard to exactly what the issue is and how far reaching the problem might be. We’ve recently checked our two test machines and only one produced this error code, which happened at one point when we couldn’t sign in PSN on PS4.
Another issues facing a number of our readers seems to be related to FIFA 14 on PS4 and with the CE-30002-5 error after a recent World Cup update.
The CE-32894-6 error code also happened when we went into a party chat, but as yet we haven’t seen any quick fix. One Product Reviews reader had this to say, “I have changed my PSN password in case that was the problem, although I still can’t sign-in to PSN to play online games and this issue is only on my PS4”.
One solution until Sony comments – you might want to try one fix for PS4/PSN error CE-32894-6 until we update this article with Sony’s comment, if they reply. One gamer found a solution after many frustrating hours, which saw the sign in screen never come up for them. They went to their browser and “signed onto a network via the console browser, then went back to the PSN sign-in screen and it finally came up”. This seems a strange fix, but worth a try.
We’ve seen a lot of Watch Dogs and COD: Ghosts players complaining about PSN sign-in issues on their PS4 this weekend, and even received a couple of emails, although after checking the official PS4 error code page it seems like “CE-32894-6” is missing from the list.
Feel free to leave a comment on exactly when you started to get problems with this or similar error codes this week. As per normal, whenever an error code arrives it seems natural to ask: is PSN down on the PS4? We can confirm to our readers that the PSN status is fine at the time of writing, so this error code is related to something else rather than downtime.
