PS4 Rest Mode issue fixed with 2.01 update

Did the PS4 2.01 firmware update fix Rest Mode freezing and crashing problems? This is exactly what gamers will be searching right now, as the latest system software has gone live in the UK and USA. We have installed the update and can confirm the PS4 Rest Mode issues are now fixed after installing the 2.01 update, so there’s no need for 2.02 for this particular problem.

Take a look at the full release notes for PS4 2.01 in this article, although don’t expect a long list of changes, as Sony are known for their simple “system stability” changelog.

We heard the latest firmware wouldn’t be too long away until release, but it came much sooner than we first thought, so there was obviously a need to get these Rest Mode issues resolved right away.
