PS4 PlayStation App demo on Android

Each of the new consoles have their own take on some new features, even if they are very similar in their execution, such as being able to sync with smartphones. Today we thought you might like to see the PS4 PlayStation App demo on an Android handset, but not just any, this is the latest Sony Xperia Z1. However, it doesn’t have to be the latest handset, this is just a little bit of marketing on Sony’s part to show off their newest handset.

We get to see what is new within this app, and one of the new features is the ability to show what your friends are up to. In the video you can see that a friend has purchased a certain game, and from there you can even invite them into a game. There is also a What’s New feature, but it is easier to watch the video because it is often hard to understand what is being said in the video.

Having said that, with videos like this it is often much better just to watch the footage because you don’t need to know what is being said, and at least the person in the video is trying their best to speak a different language and not their mother’s tongue. This does show how lazy some of us can be, myself for one.

Most of this new app has already been explained anyway, it is just nice to see footage of it being used. The PlayStation 4 companion app will be ready for released in November when the console will be released, although those of you in Asia will have to wait a little longer.

One of the best PS4 PlayStation App features is being able to use this as a controller, and while this was not seen in the footage, we do know it will be one of the more popular features. Other capabilities of this app include the ability to display PSN Trophy information, chat with friends and even access the PlayStation Store.
