PS4 gets India price, launch games and date

The Sony PS4 has received an India price, details on launch games and a release date during a press event in the region. This information now enables gamers in India to plan what games they want to purchase with their new PlayStation console, if the price is good enough and they prefer Sony’s offering.

PS4’s India release date will be January 6 and the price is set at Rs. 39,990. This information came with full plans for the launch at the start of next year, although only the base model will be offered at first with no PS4 bundles to improve prices of games like in the UK/USA.

If you want to purchase the PS4 in India with accessories, then you can do this but they will be sold separately although you could expect to see PS4 accessory bundles at a later date in 2014.

The Dualshock 4 controllers and PlayStation 4 Eye camera will be priced at Rs. 4,999, so you can select either accessory at a later date if you wanted to keep cost down at first.

Sony’s PS4 launch games in India include Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, NBA 2K14, camera game Just Dance 2014, the exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall, FIFA 14, Battlefield 4, Need for Speed: Rivals, Lego: Marvel Super Heroes, NBA 2K14, Knack and Injustice Gods Among Us: Ultimate Edition.
