PS4 FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 price drop for EA digital games

When we learned that Sony and Microsoft were going to push digital game downloads on their PS4 and Xbox One consoles, we had assumed that they would make them cheaper than their physical copy counterparts. However, that was a wrong assumption because they are hardly any cheaper, which seems crazy considering there is no extra cost involved with packaging.

However, as a way of an incentive to help improve game sales, EA has announced a price drop for all of its range of PS4 digital games, which as you know include FIFA and Battlefield 4 for the PS4.

The price drop for the two titles above and also Need for Speed: Rivals now takes the price of these games down to £59.99 in the UK, which is a £3 saving.

Okay, so we know this is not a huge saving, but £3 in your pocket is better than in EA’s. However, these same games still costs £5 less on the Xbox One store, which we have no idea why.

How much lower would you like to see these PS4 digital titles fall before they are at an acceptable price, and lets not go silly now?

Personally we would like to see these digital titles fall to about £35 -£40, as there is no reason why they should be so high considering its just a digital copy and that is it.
