PS4 feature removed this week is no surprise

We have a quick heads-up to all PS4 users now, as Sony has decided to remove one feature from the system this week in the form of the PS4 ‘Live Events Viewer’ app.

While we’re willing to bet that most of you probably never used it, others will have as it provided yet another alternative source of watching live events from Sony for free directly from the PS4 console.

Now you’ll have to do without this app as from January 10 onwards, the Live Viewers app will be gone and replaced by the PlayStation Store. Any events you purchase from the store will now be stored in the video section of your homescreen.

For those that enjoyed watching broadcasts such as E3 and PlayStation Experience, you can simply just hop onto YouTube instead where it offers the same functionality direct on the PS4 – free of course.

Is this a big deal to you or did you never use the app anyway?
