PS4 Bloodborne gameplay overhyped or justified

We have a treat for PS4 fans now, as Sony has released some direct 1080p footage of Bloodborne, the game that was unveiled at GamesCom 2014 from the developers of Dark Souls 2.

Many of you were very impressed with the initial visuals shown in the reveal, with some comments on social media actually saying that it’s the ‘first true next-gen’ game that is on the way to the PS4.

Now, you get to see what actual gameplay is like unedited and see if you still stand by that statement on it looking like one of the best PS4 games due out next year.

Our first thought when we saw this game was that it was like Van Helsing all over again – which is not a bad thing of course. Any game from the Dark Souls team at From Software is worth taking note of and it’s interesting that Sony has not wasted any time in offering actual gameplay for viewers.

It’s different to other new game reveals, which often only show pre-rendered cutscenes or cinematics and then only until closer to release, do we see actual gameplay. Bloodborne is merely a few weeks old though and already we have proper gameplay to enjoy.

Sony has unleashed 6 minutes of Bloodborne here, remember to crank up the quality to 1080p and let us know what you think of it. Are we already seeing something special in the making here, or do you not believe the hype at the moment?
