PS4 2.03 update live at 217.2MB size

We gave you a heads-up hours ago and now we can confirm that PS4 2.03 update is now live in the US and UK. It’s available to download, with Sony instead choosing to offer the download during the early morning UK time, whilst US gamers are asleep.

We actually expected the PS4 2.03 firmware update to go live during Tuesday evening US time, since Sony themselves said that the update would be going live ‘later tonight’.

For some reason though the update has only just gone live and we can confirm that the PS4 2.03 update is 217.2MB in size. As we told you hours ago, this is another stability update though sadly, with no new features to report.

We are praying that Sony has included some PS4 2.03 hidden features for gamers to find out themselves, but we may end up disappointed in that regard.

We can only imagine that these stability updates are laying the groundwork for Sony to introduce their next wave of big features in the next major update.

After all, the PS4 console is still missing folder support and DLNA – the latter of which has been available on the Xbox One for months, which some may argue isn’t good enough, especially PS Plus subscribers.

Let us know if you are downloading the new PS4 update today and anything else you have spotted that hasn’t been mentioned in the PS4 2.03 update notes above.

We haven’t spotted anything yet and it would be nice to actually know which title or titles have been given the ‘stability’ update.
