If you are planning on forking out for a Sony 3D TV set in order to play 3D games on the Playstation 3, you might want to take a read of Sony’s updated Playstation terms and conditions.
As reported from VG247, Sony has updated their T&C’s with a few warnings about potential health risks for consumers watching or indeed playing 3D content.
According to Sony, some people may experience discomfort when viewing 3D content, with possible symptoms including eye strain, eye fatigue or nausea. If this happens to you, Sony advises you to stop viewing 3D content immediately.
They also recommend users to take regular breaks in between 3D sessions, and stress that 3D viewing is not suitable for children under six.
Here is a portion of Sony’s updated terms and conditions:
”Some people may experience discomfort (such as eye strain, eye fatigue or nausea) while watching 3D video images or playing stereoscopic 3D games on 3D televisions. If you experience such discomfort, you should immediately discontinue use of your television until the discomfort subsides.”
