PS Vita graphics with Injustice Gods Among Us

We recently told you that a new version of Injustice: Gods Among Us was on the way to the PS4, as a somewhat ‘next gen exclusive’. For those that are not aware, the Ultimate Edition of the game is also coming to PS Vita and we now have some excellent gameplay, showing off the handheld version for the very first time.

There is a lot of interest in the portable version as you can guess and it’s no secret that Sony’s handheld could still do with as many top tier games as it can get. Injustice Gods Among Us will hopefully fall into that category and give Street Fighter X Tekken and Mortal Kombat a challenge in the best Vita brawler stakes.

As we kick off another week, we have some great gameplay footage to show you, footage that was captured at the New York Comic Con event over the weekend. The PS Vita version of Injustice is being developed by Armature Studios, the same team that actually brought us Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and will shortly release Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate on the PS Vita as well.

It means we are in good hands with the PS Vita version on all accounts, and the early gameplay does look fairly decent indeed when transferred over to the 5-inch OLED. The footage you see above comes courtesy of PS Nation and comes with the confirmation that the developers are aiming for 60FPS on the PS Vita version, which is obviously great news.

You’ll also hear how the game was actually developed before the start of the year and includes both online multiplayer over WiFi and local ad-hoc multiplayer as well. The developers have aimed to get the console experience into the Vita as much as possible and it certainly looks like a very solid experience.

The game will be out November 12 in the US and November 29 in Europe. Look at the early gameplay above and give us your first impressions on the portable Injustice Ultimate Edition.
