PS Plus March US, UK free games finalized

A week ago, we told you information which suggested that contents for the PlayStation Plus March 2014 update had leaked. It seemingly revealed Dead Nation as the PS Plus free game for March – now though we can confirm it is true and that Dead Nation will be offered for the PS Plus US update in March, as well as the EU update.

We now have the full details to give you, of the update for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita users. It was all true after all, Dead Nation is the free game, the same game that was previously free on PS3 many months ago after the painful memories of the console being hacked.

It will come to PS4 as Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition, which we’ll bring you full details on soon. Tomb Raider was another game that was leaked for PS3 and the information was spot on as well – it will be free for PS3 PS Plus subscribers throughout March.

Both Dead Nation and Tomb Raider will be available for US and UK subscribers in March. While EU PS3 members will get Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons as previously mentioned, US PS3 PS Plus subscribers will instead get Thomas was Alone and Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut.

There’s some great PS Vita games on offer as well. Those in the US can download Unit 13 and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite absolutely free of charge, while EU PS Vita owners get Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD and Smart As! – so not a bad result there.

It’s great to see that the two main games (Dead Nation and Tomb Raider) on PS4 and PS3 are in line with each other and don’t differ between regions as we have seen in the past.

Give us your reaction to the news now that we have confirmed it – are you happy with Dead Nation or not.

Final reminder: Download Outlast if you haven’t already on PS4, it will be expiring soon!
