PS Plus June 2014 update with surprise

While Sony continue to keep PS4 gamers sweating over the highly anticipated PS Plus June 2014 update, we may have some major information to share with regards to how the update will take place.

The big news is that RESOGUN is leaving the PS Plus IGC. This is a big surprise to some gamers as most are just expecting Stick it to the Man to leave, giving gamers one new PS4 game for the June update.

However, Sony has now confirmed that two games will be leaving – a confirmation of this can be seen in the PS Plus update for June for PS Vita gamers here.

With two games leaving the IGC, it means that we are now highly likely to get two free games for the PlayStation Plus June update, rather than one. Logically, this will be split up into one game which will be valid for one-month as normal, but one other game that will be free for a whole year! – replacing RESOGUN.

As you can imagine, this is very exciting for PS4 gamers and we can already see that the speculation has begun on what game Sony could be offering for a full year. The top contender that we can see seems to be Knack, with many PS4 gamers believing that Sony may now decide to give away Mark Cerny’s platformer for a year with PS Plus subscriptions.

Other choices that we have seen include Need for Speed and Killzone Shadow Fall. We would be surprised if Killzone is chosen though, as we have a feeling it may be a smaller game similar in the mould to RESOGUN – giving away a free game for a year is a big deal after all.

We should get confirmation of the PS Plus June 2014 update at any moment though, since the update should go live on the PS Store at the beginning of June – June 3 should be the exact date on when the update will be available.

As we wait for Sony to finally give details on the update, tell us 1) what you think the Stick it to the Man replacement game will be and 2) what the RESOGUN replacement will be which will last a full year.

Would you be disappointed if it was Knack, honestly?
