Project Spark beta positive on Xbox One, PC

The Project Spark beta for Xbox One and PC is underway and so far testing has been positive. The creative open world adventure game is reportedly Microsoft’s answer to Sony’s Little Big Planet series but has been described as much bigger and more advanced.

The general concept of the game is to create your own worlds, environments, characters and gameplay. The beta is ticking along nicely with trials ongoing for the Xbox One platform and on Windows 8 PCs. Project Spark gives players the ability to design and micro manage every tiny detail of their game, with endless possibilities that can be shared with other gamers across the world.

Visually Project Spark looks stunning with vibrant colors and features; Team Dakota who are the developers have compared the environments to a digital canvas. Cinema Blend has been lucky enough to play the beta so far and has said in their review that they like what they have seen. Project Spark features Kinect interaction which has been described as impressive, helping the design process in a new way.

We do not have any solid news on when Project Spark will get a full release but given that we are in beta at the moment there is every chance it could arrive in 2014. Reports have indicated that the game will arrive as a free digital download which offers in app purchase for extra features and benefits.
