There is now a brake-related problem affecting the popular Prius gas-electric hybrid car, apparently “sometimes the braking system in the Prius can stop working on bumpy and slippery roads”.

It is thought that this could be the result of a malfunctioning sensor, this sensor should regulate braking power, however if it suffers a strong enough shock it may result in reduced braking power.

Apparently Toyota have been ordered to investigate the problem by the Japanese transport ministry, as we find out more regarding this problem we will try to keep you up-to-date, for further details check out CTVToronto.
