Primal Carnage: Genesis Vs. Dino Crisis 4 potential

We spoke recently about the potential for a Dino Crisis 4 reboot for next gen platforms and how it would be a huge deal for fans. However Primal Carnage: Genesis is currently still in development from Lukewarm Media, potentially impacting the chances of a return for Capcom’s beloved Dinosaur game .

Primal Carnage: Genesis is happening, we have been teased with 2 trailers both of which feature exceptional graphics and designs. The PlayStation 4 and PC have already been confirmed as platforms and the Xbox One may be confirmed at a later date. Lukewarm media described the game as having ‘immersive episodic single player’ which could bring a new edge to this dino shooter.

Dino Crisis 4 on the other hand is still very much in the rumor stage, with the Xbox Magazine reportedly revealing that Capcom were preparing to announce the reboot. Whilst having 2 different themed Dinosaur games on the next gen platforms would be great, having a direct rival may play on Capcom’s mind if they are still considering whether to reboot Dino Crisis or not.

On the other hand when Primal Carnage: Genesis is eventually released it could lay down a benchmark which Dino Crisis may want to surpass. As a huge fan of Dino Crisis 1 and 2 on the PlayStation One, personally it would be excellent if Capcom rebooted Dino Crisis on next gen, however we will have to listen out for new details.

Check out the exciting Primal Carnage videos we have added below, if these graphics and environments are anything to go by we should be in for a real treat! What are your expectations for this game, are you looking for a story driven single player or an all out action multiplayer? Ideally we will be given both, but it is not always easy to get that balance with this kind of game.

Will you be ordering the game when it becomes available and would you like to see Capcom reboot Dino Crisis for next gen?
