President Obama and the 2000 Jeep Cherokee Auction

It has been reported that a 2000 Jeep Cherokee previously owned by U.S President Barack Obama has gone on sale at auction for a whopping $26,437.50 according to recent reports.

As detailed by MyFoxPhoenix, the actual value of the Jeep is valued at around $3500, but due to the rare circumstances that it belonged to Mr Obama – the auction at New Jersey attracted all sorts of bidders looking to pick up a priceless model.

The Jeep was auctioned by Liz Murphy who recalls that Barack Obama left a few reminders in the Jeep, such as a small tear in the driver’s leather seat, a mark on the driving wheel and a lingering smell of smoke.

The auction eventually went to John Reznikoff who revealed that he would of paid $100,000 for it, if needed to. Looks like Murphy and Reznikoff both picked up a ‘bargain’ then, as Murphy walks away with a cool $20,250.
