Potential Samsung phones in 2013 after trademarks

We all know that the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 are on the way at some point in 2013, but it looks like Samsung has a few other smartphone surprises in store for us as well. It appears that the company has been busy trademarking the names of several unannounced and unreleased Galaxy devices it could now turn out to be a pretty big year for Sammy.

Of course, there are going to be other Galaxy devices released in 2013 aside from the Note 3 and Galaxy S4, we just haven’t heard any whispers on what they could be until now. Trademarks for four new Samsung products have been uncovered online and they could be the official names of future Galaxy smartphones towards the end of the year.

The four Galaxy products in question are the Galaxy S Kit, Galaxy S Act, Galaxy S Impact and the Galaxy S Mate. It’s fair to say that with the exception of the Galaxy S Impact, the other three are slightly obscure names so we doubt if all three will actually make it to market with these names in tact.

They could also be internal code names that Samsung are currently using behind close doors, so we’ll have to wait and see what becomes of it. There’s also an possibility that one or two of these products may turn out to be a tablet device, or a phablet even in the same mould as the Galaxy Note.

A cheaper variant of the Note would be a nice route to take we feel, by offering a large display screen with less glamourous hardware specs and at a cheaper price for consumers. What are your initial thoughts on the Galaxy Kit, Impact, Mate and Act? We’ll update this if we hear more information.
