Porsche 918 Spyder vs. 959 for innovation

When I was in my youth there were two cars that took pride of place on my bedroom wall, and that was the Ferrari Testarossa and the Porsche 959, with the latter coming out on top for me. Back then; the styling of the 959 was truly amazing, although it still had similarities to the 911.

What I loved best about the Porsche 959, along with millions of other young lads and the car industry were its innovations, and it seems that the Porsche 918 Spyder could go in the history books like its sibling because this is also a car about innovation. has thought the very same thing because they have come up with a great video article that looks at the innovation of both the Porsche 918 Spyder and the 959. And, you can see from the moment the two guys are taking the 959 around a test track that it all comes flooding back to them about what made it so great in the first place.

Porsche 918 Spyder vs. 959 for innovation

The Porsche 959 was one of the most advanced cars in its days, as it came with some inspiring features, such as ABS, all-wheel drive, and tire pressure monitoring as standard, something you never expected from a supercar back in the day.

It’s the same with the Porsche 918 Spyder, as this is now one of the most advanced cars on the road and is right up there with the Ferrari LaFerrari and the McLaren P1.

What makes the 918 Spyder so special is its drivetrain because unlike the other two, she is able to trundle along on electric power alone, but only for a limited amount of time, and once the engine kicks in you are in for a real treat. There is still far more to the 918 Spyder, so watch the video below and see if you are taken back just like I was.
