Popular Minivans: Top 5 2011 Models

We cannot argue how popular minivans have become over the years, so before we take a look at the top 5 2011 models we thought we would see what they are all about. The Minivan is a little like a van, but is for personal use instead and offers more room than your standard hatchback, sedan or even the good-old station wagon. It is believed that the Minivan started life way back in 1936, and as you will see by the most up-to-date models — things have come a long way.

Auto 123 has compiled a list of the most popular minivans, and taking the number one spot is the 2011 Honda Odyssey. Prices start are $ 29,990 – 46,990 with five trim levels. These are as follows: Odyssey LX, Odyssey EX, Odyssey EX RES, Odyssey EX-L RES and finally the Odyssey Touring.

Taking up the second position is the 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan, and thankfully is a little cheaper. Prices range from $ 27,995 – 36,995, and there are four models in the range.

Number three is the 2011 Toyota Sienna and with prices ranging from $ 27,900 – 38,700 is a little like the Dodge model mentioned above. Again, there are five trim levels.

The 2011 Kia Sedona is fourth and prices from new are $ 27,995 – 39,995, there are also five models in the lineup. Finally in fifth we have the 2011 Volkswagen Routan, and only has three trim levels. Prices range from $ 28,575 to 42,275.

These are five of the most popular minivans, but do you believe that other models should be on this list? We believe that if the VW Bulli Microbus ever came to market, then this would have to be one of the best minivans ever, but would you agree? Read a guide before you buy one of these vehicles.
