Polaroid 55GSR1100KN 55-inch 4K HDTV review pending

So, it’s that time of year when we point you in the direction of TV models that we feel will be very popular, and more often than not it’s the more obscure brands that tend to be bought more than the likes of LG, Samsung and Sony. One such brand is Polaroid, which you don’t usually associate with TVs, although they do seem to be far more popular in the build up to Christmas.

Take the Polaroid 55GSR1100KN for instance, which is a 55-inch 4K Ultra HDTV that will provide entertainment lovers with an awesome cinema experience in your home, although on a smaller scale. This model offers the highest quality in terms of picture resolution – well that’s what they say.

We don’t really now anything about this model, and the nearest the Polaroid website has to this model is the DE550M3N4AU-YA4, which we can only assume is very similar.

The specs of that mode above are a 3840 x 2160 resolution, a brightness of 300 cd/m2, contrast ratio of 5000:1 and a 60 Hz refresh rate, along with 4 HDMI ports, there are many unknowns for the 55GSR1100KN and DE550M3N4AU-YA4.

The first is whether they are Smart TVs because there are no signs of built-in WiFi, or Ethernet, which are needed to make use of Smart features.

The other worrying thing are the lack of Polaroid 55GSR1100KN and DE550M3N4AU-YA4 reviews, as we have not been able to find a single review for this TV. We know that Fred Meyer are to sell the former model for $299.99, a saving of $500, but they currently have no other details. We also searched on the likes of Amazon and eBay, and we found no results, and so all that we know is what has, and that’s not much at all.
