Pokken Fighters Wii U release hype

Remember the mysterious Pokemon fighting game that surfaced last Summer? That fighting game looks like it is going to be called Pokken Fighters for Wii U and now it is set to be one of the exciting new announcements for Nintendo’s E3 2014 coverage.

Details are still incredibly thin on the game but at this point it looks like one of Nintendo’s new E3 2014 games has been leaked prematurely. It may not be Pokemon Stadium 3 like most of you are still praying for, but it could potentially be something even better.

A Pokemon fighting game is an adventurous idea moving away from the open-world nature that we have seen recently with Pokemon X and Y, but we would be very happy to see a different formula used and we think many Pokemon fans would agree.

This week, a document has leaked suggesting that not only will Pokken Fighters be announced at E3 2014, but it will be playable as well. The game will be available as part of Nintendo E3 Treehouse concept – which we previously told you about here.

If you combine this document with the fact that Pokken Fighters has already been trademarked, we would say that it would be a big surprise if we didn’t see the game this June.

Let us know your expectations for this Pokemon fighting game and if you are excited to see it happen. Imagine Mewtwo battling it out with Yveltal with Wii U graphics and full online multiplayer.

Is this the type of Pokemon game that you have been waiting for?

Ah yes, it looks like Nintendo is starting to ramp things up with the WiiU. It’s taken 2 years of semi-painful ports and getting to really know the powerful and hidden WiiU power to finally start to surface
