Pokemon X and Y US event offers free TCG

We have spoken in the past about the sheer amount of Pokemon X and Y events that are exclusive to Japan. You have made your voices heard that you are not happy about it, which is why the latest Pokemon X and Y news should bring a smile to your face somewhat.

We can reveal that there will be a small Pokemon X and Y event that is coming to the US. We say small as it is not gameplay related unfortunately, but rather a special Pokemon and Y Mcdonalds event that is US exclusive.

This event is going to be starting on May 23rd and will run through until June 12th. During this period, if you buy a Happy Meal from the food chain, you’ll be able to get hold of a Pokemon X and Y Battle Launcher which will feature many of the Pokemon from the 3DS game.

These include the three Pokemon X and Y starter Pokemon – Chespin, Froakie and Fennekin, but also some other favorites too such as Xerneas, Charizard, Blastoise, Mewtwo, Yveltal and Pikachu.

That’s not all though, as you’ll also be able to get your hands on one of 12 Pokemon X and Y Trading Card Game cards. These cards also contain the three starter Pokemon and others such as Pikachu so it is well worth heading into Mcdonalds if you are a collector.

Obviously it is not the in-game events that US Pokemon X and Y players would prefer to see, but it is a nice start. Let us know what you think of this deal and if you intend to participate.
