If you consider yourself to be a hardcore Pokemon fan and happen to live near the New York area in the US, we have some great news for you. Nintendo has confirmed that they will be holding a special Pokemon X and Y launch event at the flagship Nintendo World Store, which will also double up as a Pokemon X and Y midnight launch event as well.
Earlier on this week we told you about some very exciting rumors for the game. First was a possible picture and reveal for Froakie’s final evolution in Greninja. While fans expressed a certain amount of shock over that, there was then another massive rumor involving a possible new entry for a badger Pokemon joining the game.
While we wait for these pictures to be verified, Nintendo has announced that their special Pokemon X and Y event will take place at Nintendo World in New York at 9pm Eastern Time. The event will run on until 1am, meaning that you can enjoy a whole range of activities as you countdown towards 12am when you can officially buy the game direct at the store.
We’re not sure if the popular Reggie Fils-Aime will be at the store to greet the first wave of buyers, but we can tell you that you’ll be able to participate in Pokemon trivia, win prizes via giveaways and enjoy some music with a in-house DJ.
Try not to attack this Pikachu at the event..There’s even going to be an appearance from Pikachu in costume as well, if that sort of thing floats your boat. It’s probably worth going just for the giveaways though, especially with entry being free.
