Pokemon X and Y news countdown at E3 2013

We have just days to go until Nintendo kick off their E3 2013 activities. The company won’t be having a big press conference this year as already widely reported, but instead will be having several smaller events to showcase upcoming games. One of these games will be Pokemon X and Y, with Nintendo already confirming that they will be bringing over some big guns from Japan in a special Pokemon X and Y roundtable event.

On top of that, you may want to be reminded that the Pokemon X and Y news roundtable will last 90 minutes, so there is plenty of room to hear a ton of new information on the game and new Pokemon reveals. What are you really expecting from the event though? So far, we have had to endure details mostly being revealed via Japanese game scans and episodes of Japan TV show Pokemon Smash.

While this is a satisfactory method for some Pokemon purists, most are a little disappointed that Nintendo hasn’t been a little more forthcoming with their Pokemon X and Y news reveals and the way they have chosen to reveal it to fans on a worldwide scale. Which is why, E3’s roundtable event next week takes on a lot more significance in our opinion.

What can we expect to see in 90 minutes worth of action? It’s clear that we are going to see a lot of Japanese discussion from Junichi Masuda and Tsunekaz Ishihara at the event, but we hope they are also planning to bring some uninterrupted gameplay action live from the show floor as well.

Aside from that, we’re also hoping that the mystery over Mewtwo’s new formes will be revealed as well and an answer to the rumor on the original starter Pokemon Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle being available from a new professor in the game. Don’t forget that Nintendo will also be streaming everything at E3, so the new gameplay that they may show at E3 will be at least viewable on Nintendo’s website as it happens live.

Speaking of Nintendo’s website, an E3 section along with a countdown has also been set up recently, which you can view here. As we await the big day, let us know your thoughts on the gradual Pokemon X and Y news reveals so far. Are you happy with the amount and method of information released so far, or not? More importantly, tell us what you would like to see in the 90 minute event.
