Pokemon X and Y new event code for US, free Mega stone

Last week we finally gave you a solid update with some great Pokemon X and Y news involving the highly anticipated Diancie US event distribution. Now, it gets better as we have confirmation of another Pokemon X and Y event code that seems to be exclusive to US again.

This is a welcome change after witnessing Japanese players get most of the goodies for Pokemon X and Y so now it is time for US players to get some payback.

After news of the Diancie code coming this Fall via GameStop, we can also tell you that GameStop are running a second promotion. This will allow Pokemon X and Y players in the US to get their hands on Heracross and Pinsir depending on which version you have.

For example, if you have Pokemon X you can get Pinsir and vice-versa for Heracross on Pokemon X if you own Pokemon Y. You’ll need to know that this Pokemon X and Y event code will be valid on August 13 and will run until September 17.

If that wasn’t good enough, you can then head back into GameStop on August 17 with your new Pokemon in tact and pick up a Heracronite or Pinsirite – these are the Mega stones needed to transform Heracross and Pinsir into Mega Heracross and Mega Pinsir respectively.

As far as we’re aware, both offers are available at completely no cost, so it’s a great move by Game Freak, GameStop and Nintendo to make this happen for Pokemon X and Y players in the US.

Now all we need is a similar confirmation for a Pokemon X and Y event in the UK and everyone is happy. Do you still need Heracross and Pinsir on your Pokemon X and Y Pokedex? Let us know if you will be taking advantage of this.
