Pokemon X and Y Mewtwo fighting evolution picture

The excitement over the Pokemon X and Y mega evolutions list continues to reach fever pitch this week and now we have solid pictures to show you, giving you a glimpse at an official look at Mewtwo’s second mega evolution. The fearsome creature could be the only one in X and Y with two mega evolutions – with each form coming with different special abilities.

It has now become clear that the two versions of Mewtwo’s mega evolutions will be available depending on whether you pick up Pokemon X or Y – or obviously both. For example, picking up Pokemon Y will grant you Mewtwo with a mega evolution Psychic type and the special ability of hypnosis.

This is represented by the image below – the same design that has already been officially confirmed by Game Freak and the image of Mewtwo that we have been seeing a lot of over the last few weeks.

However, thanks to the latest issue of Coro Coro, we can now bring you the brand new second mega evolution of Mewtwo for the first time! Picking up Pokemon X instead will grant you Mewtwo with the ability to mega evolve with a Psychic and also fighting type.

The larger image above is how Mewtwo will look in its new fighting form, and you’ll also get access to the special steadfast ability which will increase speed stats when flinching. He looks very badass you have to say and should be a fantastic reward for those that manage to capture the creature during the latter stages of Pokemon X.
