Pokemon X and Y Doublade evolution into Aegislash excites

With just days to go now until the mighty arrival of arguably the biggest Nintendo 3DS game of the year hits with Pokemon X and Y, we have some more juicy news to share with you. After the reveal of the Pokemon X and Y final starter evolutions with Chesnaught, Delphox and Greninja, it looks like the next big evolution has been revealed – the final evolution of Honedge.

Firstly, if you haven’t seen the Kalos starter evolutions yet, don’t forget to check that out again here as it is now common knowledge that was basically impossible to keep a secret before the game is out. With most of you now likely to have made a decision on which starter to choose after seeing the evolutions, we switch our attention to one of the most exciting new Pokemon to debut in X and Y.

Honedge is a ghost/steel type of Pokemon and has one of the coolest designs seen in the game. If you don’t want to see the stats of Honedge’s final evolution, we recommend you look away now and read elsewhere. Otherwise, we can confirm that Honedge second evolution from Doublade will transform into a new creature known as Aegislash.

We can confirm that the type of Aegislash will remain steel and ghost after evolving, but has the special ability to change form depending on how the current battle is progressing. Aegislash is going to be entry #119 on the Pokedex and we also have a confirmation of moves for you.

Thanks to Twitter, we can bring you a look at Aegislash moves here. The moves will include abilities such as Autotomize, Swords Dance, Iron Head and perhaps the most intriguing of all – Sacred Sword which is a Fighting type move.
