Pokemon X and Y codes for Gotta Catch Em All

Nintendo and Game Freak were teasing a big announcement for Pokemon X and Y over the weekend and now we know what it is. The Pokemon Gotta Catch Em All promotion is coming back and we now have early codes to share for those planning to take part in the activities for the chance to win some prizes.

Unfortunately though and not for the first time, this sweepstakes event is only available to residents living in the US – everyone else is being left out in the cold which is a bitter pill to swallow. Nintendo will be offering up prizes such as free 3DS consoles, download codes for Pokemon X and Y, Pokemon plush toys and much more.

To take part, you have to enter a series of codes on this website, codes which have been hidden in various Pokemon trailers and other locations by Nintendo. You even need a code to register for the first time, which has been stealthily placed in the below trailer at the 1.03 mark as seen in the image above.

Once registered, you can go about finding the codes to unlock Pokemon and in turn – enter yourself into the sweeptakes to be in with a chance of winning the big prizes at the end of every week. Despite the competition only going live hours ago, we can tell you that most of the codes have already been leaked earlier than Game Freak would have hoped.

Head to this website here to see a full list of codes – try Y8P4 for Pancham and Y9D8 for GoGoat to get you started. As well as unlocking the Pokemon, you’ll also receive a digital gift, which you’ll be pleased to hear is available for everyone to grab.

When we entered the codes for Pancham and GoGoat, we were offered the chance to download some official Pokemon ringtones for free, but we hear that other goodies like wallpapers are up for grabs as well.

It is rather disappointing though that Nintendo cannot open up this sweepstakes for Pokemon fans in other countries. Let us know your thoughts on this, and your progress on entering the codes so far.
