Pokemon X and Y 3DS XL with Yveltal, Xerneas

We finally have some new information on a special Pokemon X and Y 3DS XL console, that you’ll be able to pre-order before release. The Pokemon Company has released a new trailer for the upcoming game, offering a brief tease at the system that is surely going to be one of the most requested holiday shopping gifts for 2013.

After watching the footage ourselves, we can tell you that the official Pokemon X and Y XL system is going to have a blue color. It will also feature a very stylish design using the two main legendary Pokemon – those being Yveltal and Xerneas. There’s no word on whether this will be made available outside of Japan, or indeed how much it is going to cost.

Hopefully Nintendo will see sense though and make this system available in all regions, as we bet that most of you are willing to pre-order this as soon as possible. Along with the console reveal, we can also confirm that a digital download version of Pokemon X and Y is going to be available as well.

However, you may be surprised to see that the file size is a whopping 1.7GB, so you may need to consider upgrading to a 32GB card. Pokemon X and Y is going to feature a massive 3D open-world though remember, with hundreds of new Pokemon to explore – so perhaps the big file size is warranted on this occasion.

Nintendo has a tendency to keep their nice limited edition 3DS XL consoles exclusive to Japan, but hopefully we will be able to bring you US and UK pricing for the Pokemon X and Y Blue 3DS XL soon. Let us know if you would be interested in buying one.
