It seems both Pokemon and Zelda are next up to brace the world of Monopoly with a specific version of the popular board game for both franchises, and those who love the varied editions of Monopoly may feel the need to add these to your collection. Manufacturer USAopoly revealed their plans for these board games at the recent American International Toy Fair and both versions will be available by the end of the summer.
According to reports, The Legend of Zelda and Pokemon are expected to arrive in the US in September and the asking price will be around $45. From what we understand The Legend of Zelda version will be set in Hyrule, while the new Pokemon board game will revolve around Game Freak’s Kanto region.
The popularity of certain videogame franchises means there are plenty of way to squeeze money out of loyal fans and we have even heard that a Mario & Luigi Connect 4 set is currently being developed, which is expected to drop this Spring for $24.95.
Monopoly games might be quite a tedious board game for some adults, especially those that have
stayed up all night on many occasions, but this trading game is a great way to teach younger children money handling, so a Monopoly based on their favourite videogame could be a nice alternative from playing videogames, which can make this a more sociable experience between friends and families.
This is an ideal opportunity for Nintendo to team up with the board game makers and promote their top franchises further adding to the official Nintendo Monopoly set.
