Play Resident Evil 2 Fan Remake before real thing

If you haven’t heard yet, something amazing has just been announced by Capcom believe it or not. It’s not a console version of Breath of Fire 6 sadly, but it is a fully fledged Resident Evil 2 remake which fans have been after for years.

Capcom has finally done it and fans will get their Resident Evil 2 Remake confirmed in the near future. Producer Yoshiaki Hirabyashi revealed the news in a clip which you can check out below – making sure that everyone knew that this was a full remake rather than an HD remaster.

The original is considered a classic and launched back in 1998 on PlayStation 1. Given Capcom’s recent tendency to bring back previous titles, fans had wondered when Resident Evil 2 would get the same treatment.

Now we know it is definitely happening but we don’t know when it will be coming out – 2017 could be a possibility.

In the meantime, you may also be interested to know that there is an amazing Resident Evil 2 fan remake which you can download now and play.

Right now there’s a general assumption that Capcom has been inspired to push forward with the remake based on this fan project and we only wonder what is going to happen to Resident Evil Reborn now – will it be given a Cease and Desist or will Capcom allow it to continue?
