Plants vs. Zombies 2 for Android live, shines on Nexus 7

We’ve seen iOS devices get it and also some Android users in China take advantage of it, but we can now tell you that Plants vs. Zombies 2 for Android is finally live and ready to download worldwide in the Google Play Store. The game is the very same version as that released on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, and so we urge that you give it a go.

Having said that, we are sure you do not need us to tell you to download Plants vs. Zombies 2 on your Android device, especially as you have waited so long for it. One thing we would say, don’t try playing the game on a smartphone with a small screen, as the best way to benefit is with something like the new Nexus 7.

Plants vs. Zombies 2 excels on the Nexus 7 because of its crystal clear display and improved graphics. There are other tablets that would help to show this new app off, but we feel the Nexus 7 is perfect in terms of size, and not forgetting price.

Some of the new features in this Plants vs. Zombies sequel include Piñata Party, which is a mini-game where you can battle zombies in a front yard. There is also Piñata Parties and Señor Piñata.

The early Plants vs. Zombies 2 for Android reviews is a bit of a mixed bag, as some say that they wish they had played the first game now, while others are unhappy with the in-app purchases. However, they are not forced to play the game, but we can understand their frustration.
