The Plants vs. Zombies 2 app is strongly desired for Android after it hit a release date on iOS a little while ago now, but even without Google’s OS it has almost achieved 25 million downloads on Apple devices. While we cannot confirm if the game will ever arrive on Android, if it does the download count will certainly head towards the top of an all time list.
We recently wrote about Plants vs. Zombies 2 for Android landing in a deceiving manor, which is thanks to a number of fake apps appearing on Google play. These don’t stay around long after users report the way some developers spam the store, although some reach high ratings by demanding a review before they can access the app content.
It is not unusual to see comments along the lines of “these fake Plants vs. Zombies 2 Android apps are really annoying”, although this isn’t a problem iOS users experience thanks to a manual app review process for iTunes. That being said, Apple’s review process can cause problems thanks to being too strict for some apps that users might love.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 almost at 25m within 2 weeks — this download rate means that the sequel went past the total downloads for the original game already. It is the free-to-play model that pushed the downloads up and lets mobile gamers play for free to start with, but this can change soon if you get addicted.
There’s a number of ways to spend real world cash. This includes purchasing coin packs between $2.99 and $4.99, or by purchasing a number of other items for between $3 and $8.

The planned Far Future update for Plants vs. Zombies 2 on iOS has not gone down well with users wanting the game on Android, and while the Google edition hasn’t been confirmed it would only make these people wait longer considering the developers are focusing on iOS content.
It is worth noting that most mobile game developers prefer the free-to-play model as it can generate a lot more money from in-app purchases in the long run.
