Pixelmon Minecraft app complaints

April Fool’s Day is well and truly over, but it looks like there is a cruel booby trap waiting for Pokemon fans with an Android device. Right now we can see that the Pixelmon Minecraft app download for Android is live, but the app itself leads to something that isn’t Pokemon related.

The Pixelmon Minecraft fever is at an all time high at the moment, with the Pixelmon Minecraft mod community keeping the fan project alive so that others can enjoy the Pokemon merged with Minecraft dream.

You can read all about Pixelmon Minecraft here and what it is all about, but spare a thought for the thousands of Android users who have recently been fooled into thinking that a Pixelmon Minecraft app was available.

We’ve received many complaints about this app on the Google Play store, with many users saying that the app doesn’t lead to Pixelmon Minecraft at all, but rather a set of Pixelmon Minecraft live wallpapers.

This has been reflected in the 18,000 plus 1-star reviews, but we are a little shocked to see that there is still over 14,000 5-star reviews. Either that these reviews have been generated by other means, or that users are still happy to put up with the wallpapers despite the false advertising.

We are also surprised that this app is still available to download and has been for over a month since first appearing on the Google Play Store in April.

The demand for a Pixelmon Minecraft app on Android and iPhone is clearly there, but surely there is a better approach than this cruel method.

Can you admit to being fooled into downloading this app during the last few weeks?
