Perspective on Twitter’s 50 Million Tweets

There is no denying how popular Twitter is these days, but what is the truth about those 50 million tweets per day? The microblog service is very diverse in what is discussed on a daily basis, well there would have to be when you think that there are 600 new tweets every second.

PC World thought that they would look into this figure to gain some perspective on those figure, and you will be amazed by what they have uncovered. You will have to stick with the article for a while, as it gives you a short history lesson about Italian economist, Vilfredo Pareto. Yes we know, strange.

According to analysts from Nielsen, they suggest that only 7 percent of Twitter users accounted for at least 80 percent of Tweets. This means that if you get of some of the big hitters such as Ashton Kutcher or Guy Kawasaki, then the microblogging service would be dead in the water. For more on this visit PC World. However, with the Dalai Lama now joining the world of Twitter, we can expect those numbers to be come even greater.
