PBS Kids Video: New iPad App Hits Apple App Store

If you own an Apple iPad and you have children that watch PBS Kids television series such as Dinosaur Train and Sesame Street, then we have a bit of news that could well be of interest to you. We’ve just heard that the PBS Kids Video app for iPad has recently been released onto the Apple App Store.

As noted over on the website, the new iPad application enables children to watch all their favorite PBS Kids shows wherever and whenever they like (only those who live in the US). The app features over 1000 videos from TV shows such as The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That.

Another great thing about the PBS Kids Video app is the fact that every week the app introduces your child to a brand new ‘Weekly Pick,’ a series of fun and educational videos that help them with math, reading, science and more. The application also includes a number of parental resources.

For example, users will be able to access their local PBS station’s TV schedule, download related apps and other TV shows from iTunes, tap a heart icon to add a specific video to their child’s favorites list, share videos via Twitter, Facebook and email and learn more about a show including intended age.

Do you own an Apple iPad? If so, will you download the PBS Kids Video app for your children?
