Payday 2 stock problems, PS3 patch live

With Payday 2 only just reaching its release date we thought a couple of updates were in order for our readers that went out and purchased the game, or in fact are trying to pick up a copy of Payday 2 but find stock problems on both PS3 and Xbox 360.

Within in the last couple of days there have been two updates on the CrimeNet Payday 2 news page, which include some details on what they call a “console product shortage” and the Payday 2 PS3 patch going live.

505 Games also published details about the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game stock issues on their Facebook page here. They basically explain that more Payday 2 copies are being sent out on a daily basic to fix the stock problems at retailers, although we have to wonder if this is evidence of extreme popularity or bad choices over numbers of copies needed at retail locations? One commenter said, “every GameStop is out of stock and even Amazon messed up my pre-order”.

You can read details here about a Payday 2 PS3 patch that allows gamers to join up with CrimeNet, so this means the PS3 update should help matchmaking in the United States after it is downloaded and installed automatically. It should be noted that those of our readers in the UK will not have the patch just yet, but the “SCEE Euro version is currently in test” with a release date expected soon.

If you haven’t purchased Payday 2 yet and want to see some detailed gameplay, then take a look at the video we embedded below this article. The gameplay lasts nearly 40 minutes and runs you through the first few levels.
